EcoHerb was born in 2009 and is the vision of John Maher, As we live in an age of gobal markets, free exports
and imports on all manner of products and services there is real sense that our local treasures that were once
treasured are now endangered to be forgotten in favour of foreign jewels. Indeed this is nothing new hence the
phrase, the grass is greener on the other side.
EcoHerb firmly believes in the preservation, creation and celebration of the beauty and abundance that exists all
around our own evironment and ecosystems. All the nourishment for the Body, Mind and Soul can be found for
most of us in our own local natural environment. It is not only our birth rite to inherit but also our responsibility to
care-take this environment where all species plant and animal alike have a role to play and together co-create the only environment
that matters to the survival of those species.
EcoHerb’s main mission is the role that herbs/plants play in the local community and works to educate those willing to listen the
importance of indigenous (and some naturalised species) plants to the welfare, health and strength of the local environment. As
humans we need to understand the role we play as caretakers for other species and our impact on our delicate ecosystems.
EcoHerb lives this vision by seeking out relationships with other like minded individuals and organisations. If you believe this is you
then please contact us and we can share.
